第一步：注册NEEA ID号，支付GRE考试费用

在获取GRE考试的NEEA后，考生可登陆GRE报名网站，报名前首先要给账户充值，登陆后点击“账户充值”按钮。

新GRE报名考试费用采用网上支付方式，目前提供的支付方式共有三种：中国银行网上付费、中国工商银行网上付费或者中国招商银行网上付费。报名前考生需到银行办理这三家银行之一的卡，并开通网上支付功能。

第二步：选择考场和考试时间

当“我的主页”显示的帐户余额已够支付GRE服务项目时，点击“注册考试”，即可注册GRE考试。考生可注册距申请日3天后的考试(不包括考试当日)。

点击“注册考试”，选择考场和考试时间之后，即可注册一场新考试。系统只显示可预订的考场，座位暂满的考场会根据转考和取消考试的情况不定时的释放考位。建议您随时登录系统查询考位情况。若考试需要在某个期限之前完成考试，请选择其它可用的考场。系统并不保证此后剩余考位和释放的考位随时可用。

第三步：填写背景调查答案

GRE考试可以选择是否参加GRE搜索服务。GRE搜索服务可以让未来的研究生与研究生院和奖学金颁发机构建立联系。如果考生条件符合一个研究所/组织的录取标准，考生就会收到相关研究生课程、录取要求、财务资助机会、奖学金和其他研究生教育机会的信息。

在决定加入GRE 搜索服务后，考生会被要求提供背景信息。其中大部分为可选的问题，但是回答所有问题会给你带来特别的好处。考生的背景信息和联系方式，还有如果考生已经参加了GRE考试，考生的成绩所在的分数区间等信息会被录入搜索服务数据库，因此研究生院和奖学金颁发机构可以借此发现此考生。
