参考答案:Describe an English lesson that you have taken
1. What qualities should a good language teacher have?
Well, I guess an effective language teacher should, first of all, be knowledgeable and competent to be able to answer all students' questions accurately and lay a good foundation for mastering the language. They should also be imaginative and innovative to break monotony as well as get students excited to learn the language and take lively Participation in the class. I also guess it's vital for a good language teacher to be interactive to develop students' creative self-expression communicative skills, and, of course motivating to spark language learners to use target language whenever possible.
2. Why do people learn foreign languages?
Oh, I think they mainly do it in order to open up a world of job Opportunities and completely transform their travel experience having a chance to communicate with people from all over the world without any barriers. I also know people who learn other languages to increase their brain power as language learning has a number of positive effects such as memory improvement and a reduced risk of age-related cognitive decline. Young people usually start learning languages for meeting new people and establishing deep cross cultural friendships, and often end doing it for studying or living overseas. I guess these are the main reasons.
3. Why do some people learn languages so quickly?
Well, maybe because they have a special gift or a so-called 'ear for languages' as some people say. Or because they have a more analytical mind which makes it possible for them to grasp the patterns and rules of different languages as is said by others. I would say it's not for one but for a score of reasons such as aptitude for language acquisition, experience in languages, interest in learning them and a lack of fear of being unable to master them.
4. Do you think grammar is important?
Definitely, it is as it is the foundation for communication and a mark of intelligence and good education. It also improves the development of fluency giving people the appearance of credibility. So, no doubt, grammar is vital for communicating with others.
雅思口语话题题库答案Part3: Describe a kind of plant or flower
参考答案:Describe a kind of plant or flower
1. What vegetables are common in your country? 在你国家什么蔬菜很常见?
Oh, I would name tomatoes and potatoes as all-star veggies in my country as all my fellow countrymen eat them. I guess they are so popular because they are delicious and so versatile. Both of them are a great side dish and can be eaten in many different ways, which my compatriots like. They are also vital for health and maintenance of the body as they are rich in essential vitamins and minerals. What is more, my country produces a large quantity of these vegetables, which makes them quite cheap and affordable for any family.
2. Do people like to grow vegetables in your country? 你国家的人们喜欢种蔬菜吗?
Well, I would say more yes than no as quite a lot of my compatriots do it. I guess the main reasons for that are as follows: first of all, people want to eat healthy, fresh produce and stop worrying about food safety. Eating home-grown vegetables, they can be sure that they are without pesticides and are higher in vitamins and nutrients. What is more, they can enjoy a much better taste and smell of their own foods. Secondly, growing own veggies can save people’s money at the grocery store, which adds to a wish to have a small garden. But of course, there are also quite enough people in my country who don’t like an idea of growing foods themselves as it's quite time-consuming and demands hard work in the garden.
3. How do people feel when they eat vegetables that they grew on their own? 当人们吃着自己种植的蔬菜时有什么感觉?
Oh, I guess they, first of all, feel proud of themselves when they see the bounty of their efforts. I also think they feel confident that they and their families can eat healthy, fresh produce. Oh, and, of course, happy that they saved money on groceries.
雅思口语话题Part3范文: a person who is helpful to you in study or work
参考范文:Describe a person who is helpful to you in study or work
1. Do you like helping others? 你喜欢帮助别人吗?
Oh, yes! I really enjoy bearing my hand to others. I can even say it has become my second nature. Helping people and animals gives me a lot of joy and a warm feeling that something I did benefited others and made the world a better place. When I lend my hand to someone in need, I feel like I have a purpose, like I live my life for a reason and it makes me really happy. What I don't like about favouring other people is the fact that they are often not ready to accept help or advice and, in the end, turn into enemies. Of course, it makes me upset but, thankfully, doesn't stop me from doing good.
2. In your view, should children be taught to help others? 在你的看来,儿童应该被教育去帮助别人吗?
Definitely, they should. Lending others a helping hand is really important for increasing children's self-confidence, self-esteem and life satisfaction because it improves mood, reduces stress and anxiety, brings fun and fulfillment to kids' lives. Moreover, it helps kids operate successfully in society, I mean, make new friends, strengthen existing relationships and boost social skills in general.
3. How can we encourage children to help others? 我们如何鼓励儿童帮助他人?
To my mind, there are a lot of things parents can do to teach and motivate their kids to bear a hand to others. First of all, they should set their own example by helping a neighbour or a relative and letting a child see this action of helping or even engaging a child in this act of kindness. It's vital to teach children to give, and parents can do it by asking them to share an apple or a toy with them or somebody else. They can also make helping a family affair and perform some small acts of kindness together with kids, teaching them to see the abundance around and think of people they can share it with.
4. Do you think people are less willing to help others these days compared to the past? 你认为和过去相比,人们更不愿意帮助别人吗?
Well, I want to believe that more, despite the fact that people are too busy these days to think about others. Technological progress has let people see the inequity of the world and those people they can lend a helping hand to. As a result, people have become more sensitive to needs and troubles of others and more willing to help them cope with difficulties changing the situation for the better. I think the fact that a lot of people are engaged in charitable work and volunteering these days proves this hypothesis.
5. Do people today trust others as much as they used to in the past? 今天的人们是否像过去一样信任他人?
Unfortunately, no. There is almost no trust to others these days compared to the past. I think this is because the gap between the rich and the poor is getting wider these days. Moreover, there is a high rate of racism and discrimination all around the world. All these factors make people more suspicious and destroy trust. Several decades ago people almost never locked their cars and front doors to their homes or if they did lock the front door, they left the key in some obvious place like under the mat. They also let children go anywhere they wanted without being accompanied. Regrettably, these days it's a highly unlikely scenario.
6. How do people in your community help each other? 你们社区的人是如何互相帮助的?
Well, I guess, first of all, they donate something they don't use anymore, let's say, give clothes they no longer wear to people who wear the same outfit day in and day out or give toys to children from poor families. They also offer needy families different help like babysitting, tutoring or teaching kids a skill they are good at. Some members of my community volunteer at our local shelter or hospice buying and cooking food, doing chores or just comforting distressed people lending them an ear or saying a kind word. When it comes to neighbours, people can see after each other's houses when someone is g. either watering plants or feeding pet!
7. How do students, such as high-school students, help each other? 学生们,比如高中生,如何互相帮助?
I guess students can do a lot to help each other succeed both academically and socially because peers play a central role in students' lives, especially in middle and high school. Teenagers often help their friends with building hopes and dreams or even setting goals and then encourage them to do their best to achieve these goals. They also share knowledge with each other and help weaker schoolmates with homework. What is more, students can provide one another with social support, assist with decision-making and help each other develop confidence and clear self-concepts.

Well, it depends on old people, I mean their level of income as, unfortunately, too often they just can't afford to have their own computers. But if they do have computers, I guess they use the Internet quite a lot. First of all, they do it for staying in contact with their relatives and friends either by sending and getting emails or by visiting social networks. They also surf the net for getting news, looking for information they need, watching films and sometimes even for buying products and banking online. So, yeah, altogether quite a lot.
2. What do you think are the pros and cons of shopping online? 你认为网上购物有哪些好处和坏处?
Well, online shopping is really advantageous, to my mind. It lets people do shopping without too much of effort comparing prices with a click of a mouse, getting access to products they can't buy locally and shopping anytime and anywhere either in the comfort and privacy of their home or office or literally on the go. As far as disadvantages are concerned, doing shopping online customers can't get an item straight away after paying for it. don't have a chance to try clothes on and can't compare the fit of the clothes the choosing from.
3. Is the Internet important for education? 互联网对教育重要吗?
Definitely it is. First of all, it makes education accessible to impoverished communities, which gives hope for their better future. What is more, it provides instant availability of vast stores of information on virtually any subject in real time, allows instantaneous connection to classmates and teachers and lets students communicate with their international peers gaining from their knowledge and experience. So, I am more than sure that it's very important for doing away with illiteracy and getting profound education nowadays.
4. What do you do on the Internet? 你用互联网做什么?
Well, it would be easier for me to say what I don't do on the Internet. I guess I do everything or almost everything online. I search for information I need, do online shopping, download films and music, read news, check weather, book hotels and tickets, check in at the airport and even communicate with friends and partners. I also read a lot of content, catch new ideas and learn from the advice of highly successful people.
5. Do you think parents should supervise their children when the children use the Internet?
Most likely, yes. Children are too naive and can get into different difficult situations and even serious financial disasters. So, parents should keep an eye on what kids do online in order to prevent the young ones from offering too much personal information and avoid unpleasant surprises. I think it's also quite important for parents to be aware of the files children are downloading not to let viruses and Trojans inside the computer and be able to discover any problems at their earliest inception.
6. What's the best age for children to use the Internet? 儿童使用互联网的最佳年龄是几岁?
Well, I guess any age starting from 3 as long as kids use the Internet for educational reasons and with parents' supervision. If there is no parents' or adults' supervision, then only when children are mature enough, aware of the risks of surfing the net and able to think critically or when they've shown repeatedly to make the right choices while using the Internet.
7. Why do children nowadays start using the Internet very early? 为什么如今的儿童过早地使用互联网?
Oh, I guess, first of all, because many parents support kids' early exposure to the Internet by providing them with opportunities to explore and study online. They understand that the Internet provides a wide range of opportunities for children's learning, participation, creativity and communication with others, and do their best to involve their kids in online activities as early as kids have special skills for that. One more reason why little ones start surfing the net early enough is because they treat it as a source of entertainment providing them with a chance to watch cartoons, video clips and play games online.
