雅思Discussion类文章怎么写?

一、Discussion类特点

“Do you think it is a positive or negative development / Discuss both views and give your opinions.”这类便是discussion类雅思作文。

一般是讨论利弊或者从正方两面阐述观点，再阐述自己的观点。切忌如果只讨论一个方面就会偏题。文章应尽量避免出现过多“advantage”单词和“disadvantage”单词，显得词汇量单薄。可用merit, benefit, value, strength等代替advantage，用downside, weakness等代替disadvantage。

二、Discussion常见出题思路

1、单项事物的优缺点比较：

分成四段：Introduction和Conclusion各一段，而Body部分分为两段，一段写优点一段写缺点。要注意每个优点或缺点都至少用两句话来叙述，并且用事实例子进行论证说理。

2、两个事物的优缺点比较

与单项事物优缺点不同的地方在于主体段，主体段落部分，一段写事物A的优缺点，一段写事物B的优缺点。

E.g. Private vs. public transportation

分成四段：

Introduction

Body (private As & Ds，Public As % Ds)

Conclusion 前面两类的叙述没有连接，可以在总结中做两个部分的衔接。(比较推荐使用这个结构，不太推荐先集中叙述两者的优点，再集中叙述两者的缺点。因为这两项的优缺点经常是互逆的，这样写容易让考官有重复的感觉。而重复是大忌。)

3、多个事物比较：(很少用到)

首先把多个事物进行归类，分成2-3类，然后如前一种方法进行论述。

E.g. Magazine, newspaper, TV, radio, book, internet, 比较获取信息的方式。

分成四段：

Introduction

Body (traditional: As & Ds和Modern: As & Ds)

Conclusion

当然在比较的时候不能只比较2-3大类，要把题目中提到的所有的事物都一一进行比较，可以作为具体例子插入补充。

三、Discussion 的写作过程

我们按文章的结构顺序来分析：

Sentences:

1.background sentence(可以运用题目中的key words)

2. Paraphrase question

3.state opinion (原因可写可不写，body中的分论点不能作为原因，否则会造成重复。)

【body】(2-3段)

topic sentence(分论点)+ Supporting points(每个分论点加大概三个句子的理由作为支撑。)

thesis point (中心论点)

注意：truth(事实、真理不能做topic sentence,只能做Supporting point)

Topic sentence 不能太宽泛，要针对具体问题，有真正的实质性内容。

How to make out a paragraph?

(重要)explanation—Why/how/what’s outcome(可以是对于topic sentence 直接的解释，但是不能多用，一篇文章出现一次就足够了)

(重要)example—一段举两个就足够了，要多一些argument,例子尽量简短，不能太生活化，也不要写名人作为例子，要尽量可以是一些适用面比较广一点的事实

Sorting—分类论证

Contrasting—比较论证(这个也可以是放在段落的最后，比如说以一个转折进行结尾。)雅思写作三大类

(非常重要)extension—对于一个观点，先想前因(注意不要跳步，要想直接原因)，再想可能导致的后果，可能的话最后加上因果关系即原因怎样导致的结果。
